The NSDL Shiksha Sahyog is a CSR initiative of the National Securities Depository Limited. This scholarship scheme aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students hailing from the marginalized sections of society. Students pursuing full-time undergraduate-level programs are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. By availing this scholarship, students can pursue their career goals.
As part of this scholarship program, 50% of the scholarships are reserved for girl students. Also, NSDL Branch Locations will be given preference, including Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme 2023-24: Qualification Criteria
The eligibility norms to apply for the NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme are listed herein:
- Only candidates who are permanent residents of India should apply
- He/She should have secured minimum 60% in Class 12 or Diploma courses
- The family income of the applicant has to be equal to or below INR 300000
- Students must have a bank account to apply
- Among UG courses that are eligible for this scholarship program are: Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme 2023-24: Rewards
The Scholars will be entitled to receive up to INR 10000 to pay tuition fees.
NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme 2023-24: List of Mandatory Documents
Candidates are required to submit the below-mentioned list of documents while applying for this scholarship program:
- Copy of Bank Passbook of Student
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card or Passport Copy)
- Bonafide Certificate issued by the Institute
- Copy of College Fees Receipt
- Copy of Admission Confirmation Letter (applicable for first-year students)
- Copies of both Class X and Class XII mark sheets
- Copy of Family Income Certificate, such as Form 16A or Salary Slips
- Domicile Certificate Copy
- 1 Passport-sized photo of Applicant
NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme 2023-24: Application Process
The online application process for the NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship Scheme is as follows:
- Go to the Vidyasarathi Scholarship Portal, www.vidyasarathi.co.in
- Register on the website if you have not registered before
- Upon Registration, the system generates your “Username” and “Password”
- Log in to your account with your login credentials
- Access the online scholarship application form and fill in the mandatory details, including full name, marital status, date of birth, mobile number, and email address, among others
- Provide your parent’s details and family income info; upload a copy of income certificate as income proof
- Submit your communication address and upload address proof
- Input bank details and upload a copy of bank passbook
- Enter academic information, such as course name and name of the institute; and upload a copy of the current tuition fee receipt
- Give information about educational background and upload copies of academic mark sheets
- Review all the information and click the “Save” tab
- You then have to navigate to the “Search and Apply for Scholarship” tab and tap the “NSDL Shiksha Sahyog Scholarship” tab and tap the corresponding “Apply Now” link depending on your course
- Go ahead and fill in the required details, after which you have to submit your application online
- Maintain a copy of your application for later reference
