Post-Matric Scholarships for SC/ST Students West Bengal 2023-24 are being offered by the Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal. SC/ST students enrolled from Class XI up to postgraduate courses are invited to apply. Through this scholarship, such students can receive financial support to complete their post-matriculation and post-secondary studies. Upon selection, candidates will receive a maintenance allowance of up to INR 1200.

The eligibility norms for this scholarship programme are studied herein:
- The candidate has to hold domicile status in the Indian state of West Bengal
- He/she must belong to the SC/ST categories of the West Bengal state
- The applicant has to be admitted in Class XI/XII/Graduation/Postgraduation courses
- The student’s family income should not be more than INR 250000

Here are the steps on how to apply for the scholarship scheme:
- You should first browse the home page of the official website
- Navigate to the “Students Corner” section and select the “Student’s Registration” tab
- On the next page, select your district where your institute is based
- That done, the system will display the ”Caste Certificate” verification page; provide all the details required in the form and submit the same
- After the caste verification process is completed, the online registration page comes up on the screen
- Complete the registration process and submit the form online; your login details will then be generated
- With your login details, sign in to your account and access the Online Application Form
- Fill in the mandatory fields in the form and upload the relevant documents
- Finally, review your application and make any changes, if needed; then, click on the “Submit” tab
