Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students Puducherry 2023-24 has been launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment functioning under the Union Government of India. The aim of this scholarship program is to provide financial help to SC students who are enrolled in Class XI and above in schools / colleges across Puducherry, while helping them to pursue higher education. The selected students can benefit from a wide range of benefits via this scholarship, including academic allowance.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students Puducherry 2023-24: Eligibility Rules
Herein you can find information about the eligibility criteria for this scholarship programme:
- He/she has to be a permanent resident of the Indian state of Puducherry
- Only students from the SC community are invited to apply
- He/she has to be admitted in a post-matriculation or post-secondary level course, including from Class XI up to the PhD level
- The candidate is required to have passed a higher secondary or matriculation level course from a recognized Board
- The student’s yearly annual income has to be equal to or lower than INR 250000 per annum

Note:
- Disabled students can avail 10% extra allowance
- Candidates pursuing ICFA / CS / ICWA / CA courses will be treated as par as day scholars for receiving academic allowance
- Applicants who are pursuing online or correspondence courses are not eligible for academic allowance

Ensure to submit the following list of documents along with your application:
- Copies of Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate, and Income Certificate
- Student’s academic mark sheets and certificates
- 1 latest passport-sized photo of the applicant
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students Puducherry 2023-24: Application Process
Applicants have to go through the following scholarship application process:
- Your initial step includes browsing the Online Scholarship Portal
- Here, search the home page for the “Applicant Corner” section and select the “New Registration” tab from the given menu
- It is important to read and adhere to all the given guidelines; also, tick the checkboxes and then tap the ”Continue” tab
- On the new page, you are required to select the Aadhaar option, provide your mobile number, enter the captcha code and OTP; proceed by tapping the “Submit” tab
- When the registration page comes up on the screen, fill in the required fields and then tap the “Save & Register” tab to mark the completion of the registration process; the system creates your “Application ID” and “Password” during the registration process
- As your next step, go to the “Fresh Application” tab and click on it for the login page to appear on the screen
- Use your login details to sign in to your account and access the application form
- Proceed by filling in the mandatory fields in the form and uploading the relevant documents on the system
- Finally, check your application and make any required changes; go on to submit your application

Make sure to submit your Puducherry scholarship application before 30th November 2023.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students Puducherry 2023-24: Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship money will be disbursed for 10 months in an academic year
- If any candidate does not get promoted to the subsequent class, they cannot continue to receive the scholarship
- Changing the course of study is not permissible
- Depending on the tenure of the PG courses, the scholarship will be awarded to the selected applicants every year
- The renewal of the scholarship is based on the student’s satisfactory conduct and attendance record
- Subject to the Administrative Head providing the student’s annual progress report the scholarship will be renewed
- If any student discontinues studies due to personal reasons or provides incorrect information, it would lead to the cancellation of his/her scholarship
- Upon any student having domicile status in one UT / State and securing an SC Certificate of another UT / State, they can receive the scholarship in the UT / State where the caste certificate was issued
