Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 6 up to Class 10) Puducherry 2023-24 is an initiative of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department of Puducherry. Students enrolled from Class 6 up to Class 10 in the schools in the Puducherry state of India are invited to apply. This scholarship aims to reduce the dropout of SC students while providing them with the necessary financial aid to complete their education. The selected candidates will be granted scholarship money up to INR 250 every month for 10 months in an academic year for their education expenses.
Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 6 to 10) Puducherry 2023-24: Eligibility Norms

- The candidate is required to be a permanent resident of India’s Puducherry state
- Only students from the SC category are invited to apply
- He/she should be admitted in Class 6 to Class 10 in a school recognized by the State Government of Puducherry
- Students whose yearly family income is equal to or less than INR 24000 per annum are eligible (Note: the student’s annual family income must not go beyond the below poverty line as decided by the government)

Upon selection, the scholars can avail the given benefits:
- For Student from Class 6 up to Class 8: INR 150 per month
- For Students in Class 9 and 10: INR 250 per month

Candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps as part of the application process:
- Browse the official website, National Scholarship Portal
- Look for the “Applicant Corner” section and tap the given “New Registration’ link
- Study all the prescribed guidelines and tick the given checkboxes; go ahead and then tap the “Continue” tab
- On the subsequent page, you have to provide details including your mobile number and Aadhaar Card number; also, enter OTP and captcha code and then click the “Save & Register” tab
- As your next step, go to the “Fresh Application” tab and tap on the same
- When the login page appears on the screen, sign in with your login details
- Go on to fill in the mandatory fields in the online form and upload the compulsory documents on the portal
- The final steps include reviewing your application and then submitting it

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 6 to 10) Puducherry 2023-24: Terms and Conditions
- After the scholarship is awarded, the student has to secure a good attendance record to continue receiving the given benefits
- The scholarship provisions are subject to change at the discretion of the Union Government of India
- Bonafide students will continue to receive the scholarship amount on the condition that they make satisfactory academic progress; they have to be promoted to the subsequent higher class every year.
- The disbursal of the scholarship ensues via the respective schools. If the candidate submits incorrect information, the scholarship will be discontinued and the scholarship money has to be refunded
