West Bengal Scholarship: The West Bengal State Government of India coordinates with its Backward Class Welfare Development and Tribal Development Department to provide scholarships to students hailing from different sections of society in the state. Among scholarships that the West Bengal Government has provisions for include Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships for students from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Such groups, due to financial constraints, cannot afford to pay for higher studies. Thus, the West Bengal State Government funds their education fees via scholarships.

The West Bengal Government has launched the OASIS Scholarships portal, where it receives scholarship applications and processes the scholarship forms.
